SEIU Local 1 Presents: Porchá Perry as the Member of the Month for February!

Local 1 conducted an exclusive interview with Detroit, Michigan Member Porchá Perry as she reflects on her time as a union member.

DETROIT, MI - SEIU Local 1 is presenting Porchá Perry as the Member of the Month for February! Porchá is currently a team member and usher at Ford Field, housekeeper at Comerica Park and works security at Fox Theatre and Little Caesars Arena. Porchá is one of the arena workers that assisted in presenting the Industry Standards Board petition to the City of Detroit to strengthen the collective voice of hundreds of workers at Detroit’s sports arenas in advocating for better working conditions on the job. Perry, an advocate for unions believes you are the union and nothing gets done without your input, your voice and without you!
