CHICAGO – SEIU CPS custodian Paula Henriquez released the following statement as mayoral candidate Toni Preckwinkle advances to the April 2 runoff:

“Chicago voters responded to Toni’s progressive platform and proven experience no one in the race can match – 300,000 more people with healthcare, fighting for criminal justice reform, making Cook County welcoming for immigrant families and a bold plan to raise Chicago’s minimum wage to $15 by 2021.

“The 150,000 working families of SEIU are ready to do whatever it takes to ensure Toni is our next mayor. No one can match her progressive experience and record on workers’ rights.”
