SEIU Illinois State Council President Tom Balanoff Applauds Kim Foxx’s Victory in Democratic Primary for Cook County State’s Attorney

Foxx is the bold leader for criminal justice reform our region needs

CHICAGO – The following is a statement from SEIU Illinois State Council President Tom Balanoff regarding State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s victory in tonight’s Democratic primary:

“Cook County residents today cast a decisive vote for continuing the progressive change State’s Attorney Foxx kicked off in 2016.“State’s Attorney Foxx will continue her bold agenda of reforming our broken criminal justice system to ensure our region is more equitable across racial lines and different backgrounds.“SEIU members congratulate Kim Foxx on her victory because it is a win for all of us. Together we will continue our fight to eradicate the economic, social and racial inequality that currently plagues our region.”
