SEIU Local 1 Endorses Progressive Slate for the 2023 Municipal Aldermanic Elections

CHICAGO, IL— Today, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1 - representing thousands of property service workers throughout Chicago and the Midwest - announced formal endorsements for Chicago City Council’s Aldermanic Elections. SEIU Local 1 supports candidates who are committed to improving the lives of working families and stand at the forefront of the fight for immigrant, racial, LGBTQ+, and enviornmental justice. 

“Local 1 is proud to endorse progressive candidates who will continue to fight for Chicago’s working families - no matter their background or where they live,” said SEIU Local 1 President Genie Kastrup. “These candidates have a bold vision on strengthening the working class and fighting to uphold the strong labor standard that Local 1 workers have fought long and hard for.”
